A digital ecosystem for global natural resources

THE EARTH’S NATURAL RESOURCES ARE FINITE

Humanity’s development and economic activity depends on our exploration and careful utility of natural resources. Many of the most challenging environmental issues faced today are directly linked to human harvest of biomass, metals and chemicals which have negative impacts on biodiversity, water integrity, the ecosystem, and human health. If we are to thrive, our natural ecosystem needs to remain healthy.

Current use levels are already unsustainable, higher efficiency in exploration and utility of these resources is essential for developing “fair use” for everyone on the planet, along with sustainable management and distribution systems into the future.

THE TRECHAIN FOUNDATION

The TreChain Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development, construction and management of TreChain, a platform for digitizing the Earth’s natural resource assets, and TreMart, a platform for global resource exchange.

As the total amount of global natural resources that humankind can extract and make use of without irreversible damage to the planet’s ecosystem is limited, and current use levels are already unsustainable, higher efficiency in exploration and utility of these resources is essential for developing “fair use” for everyone on the planet, along with sustainable management and distribution systems into the future.

TreChain establishes a source-searchable, direction-traceable, and liability-pursuable on-chain system for big data related to the natural resources of Earth and beyond

Gathering information on the sources and distribution of global natural resources is important. Many of the most challenging environmental issues faced today are directly linked to human harvest of biomass (for example, timber), and the use of metals and chemicals which have negative impacts on biodiversity, water integrity, the ecosystem, and human health.

The names of Ages past – Stone, Iron, Bronze and Steel – were decided by the main materials in use during those times. Considering today’s exploitation of crude oil, begun in the late 19th Century, the latest Age is commonly called the “Oil Age”. It’s estimated oil reserves will run dry in under 50 years at current production levels.

Matching the conservative global resources industry with next-generation technologies, TreChain plans to make significant progress in the development of efficient land, sea, energy, earth and space exploration processes. Distributed ledger technology brings the advantage of transparency, integrity and efficiency to many natural resources workflows.

TreChain as a foundation administers the stable and harmonious development of TreChain’s DLT and the platform’s beneficial adoption by the world’s natural resources and ecotourism stakeholders.

TreChain aims to improve the efficiency, transparency and integrity of global natural resource utility

The global resources industry doesn’t lend itself to becoming globalized. Complicated supply chain systems can lead to sudden rises in resource prices. Industry information lacks transparency, and circulation is inconvenient. This leads to wasted resources and unnecessary duplication of activities and procedures.

For example, when a forester digitizes the physical assets of their future forests on TreChain, the community can contribute to global reforestation and best practices in environmental management far ahead of any competitors who may wait decades to see financial returns.
